Arthur I. Meyer Jewish Academy Hebrew and Judaic Studies:

A Foundation of Values-Based Learning

One of Meyer Academy’s guiding principles is to provide our students with a strong foundation in values-based learning.

The Hebrew and Judaic Studies curriculum is directly tied into the life of every student.  The courses in these departments sharpen every child’s critical thinking skills, they develop self-awareness and international-mindedness, and they provide a context for what we believe, how we act, and why being an honorable person is so important. Learners perceive and respond to the world through the moral and ethical guidelines of Jewish traditions and customs.

Culminating our students’ Meyer Academy educational experience, is the eighth grade spring trip to Israel. This trip is the signature program that enables eighth grade student to shine in their independence, maturity, intelligence, and wisdom. Traveling across the world to apply their knowledge and fine-tune their social and language skills in a foreign-yet-familiar setting demonstrates their full preparedness for their next journey: high school.
